“GIPS AD” is located near the village of Koshava, Vidin district, and is the only factory in Bulgaria for the extraction of raw gypsum and its firing. Originally, the factory became functional on December 25, 1965.
In 2007, approximately 8 million BGN were invested for the factory reconstruction and modernization of the technological process; two new production lines were installed:
Line 1: Production of dry aggregates based on gypsum.
Line 2: Production of dry aggregates based on cement.
The new lines have been running since September 2007.
The investment program of the joint-stock company includes continuous production improvement, in line with the latest technologies that exist in the EU and other countries.
For that exact reason, the building of an installation for sand screening and sand drying is in progress. The material will be used for the manufacture of new products- based on cement and gypsum; in addition, it will satisfy the customer demand for dried sand.
“GIPS AD” has the only certified laboratory in Bulgaria for the testing of gypsum and its derivatives.
The following products are included in the portfolio of “GIPS AD”
Products based on gypsum:
- VIDANIVEL self-leveling compound based on gypsum. Used for interior floor leveling before applying the final material.
- VIDAPLASTER, plaster K5, for machine or manual application. Used as a fine leveling layer for interior walls and ceilings which are made of concrete, aerated concrete, or bricks. The product has been specially developed on the base of gypsum, mineral fillings and additives. Available in packs of 25 kgs.
- VIDAFIX GYPSUM PUTTY, TYPE GSH, -plaster coat type PC1. Used for coating of concrete surfaces (concrete panels), aerated concrete walls, gap filling, and working with plasterboard. Available in packs of 25 kgs.
- VIDAGIPS plaster gum, - plaster adhesive type 996, for sticking together plaster products such as plasterboards, stuccowork, and other materials based on plaster.
- Construction Gypsum - Used for finishing works- top coat, filling gaps and others. Dispensed in packs of 25 kgs.
- Raw Gypsum - used as a component during cement production, adhesive plaster and aerated concrete.oncrete.
Products based on cement:
- Vidakol B 53, a strong adhesive which is suitable for fixing wall tiles, floor tiles and porcelain. An ecological and innocuous product, class C1, for use in closed premises as well as outdoors. Dispensed in packs of 25 kgs.
- Vidakol K 1, an adhesive used for fixing wall tiles, floor tiles and porcelain. An ecological and innocuous product, class C1, for use in closed premises as well as outdoors. Dispensed in packs of 25 kgs.
- GLUE putty for aerated concrete, an ecological compound on a cement base used for laying and coating of aerated concrete, for inner and outer walls.
